District 202 will once again participate in the State of Illinois 5 Essentials survey.
The 5 Essentials survey provides a unique opportunity for students, teachers and parents to have a voice in improving their schools.
Through February 15, 2019, students, teachers and parents will be asked to take a 25 -minute research-based survey to help identify strengths and weaknesses in their school’s learning environment. This survey is a great way for schools to reflect on the progress they have made creating and maintaining a culture and climate that helps all students and staff feel valued, secure and supported.
*** Fourth through twelfth graders will take the survey during school***
PARENTS:
To receive parent data, a school must achieve a response rate of 20 percent from parents.
To complete the Parent Survey:
TEACHERS:
Teachers will receive an invitation email with unique username and password to log-in to the survey and participate. A teacher survey report will be generated if at least 50 percent of teachers respond to the survey.

Individuals in the following positions, who also teach, are among those encouraged to participate:
STUDENTS:
Student participants will be required to log-in using their state student ID and birth date in order to complete the survey. It may be helpful to print and have these rosters handy when administering the survey, in case the state student IDs are not commonly known. A student survey report will be generated if at least 50 percent of students respond to the survey.
